Neljas päev: NELJAPÄEV, 12. mai 2016.//Day 4: THURSDAY, May 12th 2016.

We gathered in front of the school house at 9 o’clock to wait for the bus, but we got a call saying that we will leave at 10 o’clock. Who then went back to the dorms to wait, who stayed near the school house. Some even went further to grab some coffee. At 10 o’clock we once again gathered at the school’s parking lot and this time the bus was also there. Already after few minutes Estonian had searched for their card packs and were playing cards and the sound of chatting was all around the bus. The chatting between students was intense that there was not time left to listen to the guide. The trip with bus lasted for about 1 hour. When we arrived, our guests were in shock, because they had never seen that kind of nature. Food packages were given to the students and teachers, everyone was divided into two groups and the walking begun. The whole distance of the hike was a bit more than 10 km. During that time we passed amazing bog lakes, walked on Kakerdaja bog boardwalk and also climbed up and down from the steep stairs of the lookout of the bog. Students from other countries were surprised from the nature of the bog and also that the ground doesn’t carry people very well and beneath the ground everything is water. Also masses gathered around every frog and lizard we passed. Their eyes were especially big when the guide took of his shoes and demonstrated how Estonians walk in the bog, Estonians also became more courageous and started testing the ground of bog. As the weather was warm and sunny, the temperature of the bog lakes were over 20 degrees. After quite a long walk, we ended up next to campfire, where fire was started and even sausages were found from the backpack, which were put on a stick and grilled above the fireplace. Everyone were feeling comfortable, there was laughing, chatting and eating. Some also showed their strength in making firewood. Including all this, we also got a powerful performance from NATO’s fighters. If we finally got back to the bus, students and teachers were tired and some even slept during the trip back to school.

It was a calming but tiring day in the forest!
