Kolmas päev: NELJAPÄEV, 6. oktoober 2016.//Day 3: THURSDAY, October 6th 2016.

The day started with a walk to the Thuiller middle school amphitheater which was in Amiens, where we needed to be by 9 o’clock. We were previously divided into groups, where there were students from different countries. Each group had its own theme, to which they had to make a 5 minute long video and a questionnaire in Kahoot. I worked in the blue team and our theme was glyphosates. By Thursday, we made four clips out of glyphosate (What is glyphosate? Why is it bad? What does it do to plants, animals and humans? Why do people protest against it?), which we put together into a complete video. Two girls from Italy were very helpful and thanks to them, the results were so good, they had used the program before and it wasn’t hard for them. We made the questionnaire together with our group, but a local French girl, who’s name was Clementine, finalised it in her computer. When everything was finished, we ate together in the school. For lunch we had steamed peas with a cutlet, which was different from the Estonian equivalent. We also got to choose our dessert. We had a big selection. There was cake, yogurt and fruits. After lunch we set off to a factory just outside of Amiens. We were divided into three groups. Maia and I visited factory of Mersen. Mersen offers carbon based solutions for electrical current collections, such as pantograph strips and trolleybus inserts. On our visit to the factory we had to wear safety-boots, goggles and protective earpieces. We were introduced to different machines and manufacturing processes. Later we got muffins and some juice. We also got a wristband as a gift. After the visit we went back to the school building and had the evening off. Because our previous days were exhausting, I was with my host at home and had a resting evening.

Päev algas jalutuskäiguga Amiens’i linnas olevasse Thuillieri keskkooli amfiteatrisse, kus pidi kohal olema kell 9. Eelneval teisipäeval oli meid jaotatud gruppidesse, kus olid erinevatest riikidest pärit õpilased. Igal grupil oli oma teema, mille kohta nad pidid tegema umbes 5minutilise filmi ning Kahooti küsimustiku. Mina töötasin siniste grupis ning meie teemaks oli glüfosaat. Neljapäevaks oli meil eelnevalt valminud 4 lühiklippi glüfosaadist (Mis on glüfosaat? Miks see on halb? Mis on selle mõju taimedele, loomadele ja inimestele? Miks inimesed protestivad selle vastu?), mille me panime kokku üheks terviklikuks filmiks. Suureks abiks oli Itaaliast pärit kaks tüdrukut, kes olid seda programmi enne kasutanud ning nendele ei valmistanud see suurt probleemi. Kahooti küsimustiku koostasime grupiga koos, kuid arvutisse kirjutas selle prantslane Clementine. Kui kõik see oli valmis, saime koolis süüa lõunat. Lõunaks pakuti hautatud herneid kotletiga, mis oli minu jaoks natuke teistmoodi kui Eestis. Samuti saime valida endale magustoidu, mille valik oli päris suur. Sai valida kas keeksi, jogurtit, kooki või puuvilja. Peale lõunasööki oli meil väljasõit Amiens’i linna lähedal asuvatesse tehastesse. Meid jaotati 3 gruppi ning iga grupp külastas erinevat tehast. Mina külastasin koos Maiaga Merseni tehast. Mersen toodab süsinikul põhinevaid elektrivoolukogujaid, mida kasutatakse näiteks tehastes ja trollibussides. Külaskäigul pidime kandma turvasaapaid, prille ning kõrvaklappe. Meile tutvustati erinevaid masinaid ja tootmisprotsessi. Pärast saime süüa muffineid ning juua mahla, samuti saime kingituseks kaelapaela. Peale seda saime bussiga kooli tagasi ning õhtu oli vaba. Kuid kuna eelnevad päevad olid väga väsitavad ja teguderohked, siis mina olin õhtupoolikul enda võõrustajaga kodus ning puhkasin.
